For the Guys

Guys do care…

Guys care about their health and the health of their partners. Take care of your own health by:

  • performing a monthly self testicle exam to find any early signs of testicular cancer. If you notice a lump, swelling or abnormality, contact your physician immediately for further examination and testing.
  • using a condom each and every time you have sex.
  • having sex without a condom ONLY IF:
  • both you and your partner have been tested for STIs and HIV and the results are negative.
  • both you and your partner have agreed to being monogamous
  • you’ve chosen a birth control method together and it is being used properly

Consider your partner’s health too. Preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) is a responsibility that you share with your partner.

  • Use condoms every time you have sex.
  • Respect your partner’s right to say NO.
  • Support your partner’s choice of birth control. Know what method is chosen, and why. Help pay for the exam and for the birth control; it shouldn’t all be up to your partner.
  • Have children only when you and your partner are ready.
